Without the greenhouse effect, how would the overall temperatures on earth differ from what they are now?

Hey buttermequeasy, please don't double post the same question :) Anyway without the greenhouse effect Earth would not be able to retain any heat, basically our temperatures would be like they are on the moon. On the side where it is facing the sun it would be super hot while on the side without the sun it would be very cold.
