They said the discounts were 15% and 10% respectively, so we have to undo the 10% discount first, and the 15% discount second.
11475/(1-0.1) = 11475/0.9 = 12750
12750/(1-0.15) = 12750/0.85 = 15000
Taking 90% of 85% should equal 85% of 90%, so going backward in either order should get you to the same place. But this is just how I read the question.
