A train averaging 50 mph leaves San Francisco at 1P.M. for Los Angles 440 miles away. At the same time a second train leaves Los Angles headed for San Francisco on the same track and traveling at an average rate of 60 mph. At what time does the accident occur?

50+60=110
440/110=4, so the poor trains will hit 4 hours later. That means they will hit at 5 p.m.
