I have to do a science project with live animals. Anyone have an idea with inexpensive animals. Ex:fish please help!!!

You could use Killifish. They are a fish that lays its eggs which don't immediately hatch. The adults die when the water systems dry up. When you add water they hatch. Not all of the eggs hatch at once though, some wait for more water. This is an evolutionary back-up plan if you like that allows for possible changes in rain fall. You could do your project around this or how the fish have evolved a lifestyle around living in places that don't always have constant water.
