3x+1<-11

x < -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure if thats correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why not? Subtract 1 from both sides so you get \[3x < -12\] Divide by 3 and you get \[x < -4\] You're not dividing by a negative number so you dont flip the inequality. It should be correct.
