My PC is four years old how can I restart the whole thing?
do you mean restarting it from factory mode? if so click f10 on the start up screen or f12. If it doesnt work try this site http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/restore-windows-computer-factory-settings/
consider installing a linux OS bistro.. I personally install windows 7 first, and then I install Ubuntu inside of Windows 7 aka WUBI installer.. I use Ubuntu for everything.. music , searching web, chatting, email, movies etc.. and when there is a school project such as live server platforms or office presentations, I switch into windows 7.. beauty of this is that you dont have to setup different partitions.
and enjoy a never sluggish again pc
To restart it, (reformat/install) you can do a command on the keyboard on some computers that have the operating system backed up to a partition on the hard drive. To know if it is backed up you can find out on the manufacturer's website, just look up the make and model. However with all computers you can obtain a legal copy of whatever version of the operating system you are running (i.e Windows 7) and boot to the disk by inserting the disk and restarting the computer. In some cases you have to tell the computer to boot to the disc by setting the boot order in you BIOS settings that you access at boot. Reinstalling this way in most cases will lose erase your hard drive so do this after backing up the computer.
