Mathematics 9 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+8)(x−2)2 > 0 How do I graph this? I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, but my online hw website is telling me I'm wrong.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

How are you doing it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+8>0, so I subtract 8, so I get x>-8 for the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the second, (x-2)(x-2)>0, so i get x^2-4x+4>0, then i subtract 4 from both sides, after that i divide by -4, finally i square root to get x>1
