Which of the following is the equation of a line parallel to the line y = 3x + 2, passing through the point (10,1)? 3x + y = 29 3x - y = 29 -3x - y = 29 3x + y = 29

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when you plug in 10,1 into them what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope must be the same as in the first equation; 3x the only equation that has the slope as 3x is the 2nd one, so 3x-y=29 is the answer

Thank you (: I think I get it now
