This is for a Diff Eq problem. I need to factor r^4+3r^2+9 (It factors complex obviously) How would the greats like amistre or satellite do it I wonder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

completing the square r^4+3r^2+9/4+9=+9/4 (r^2+3/2)^2=c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there are no real roots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, i know there aren't any real roots. I dont want the real roots i want the complex ones. So they would be +/- sqrt(3/2)i x2 hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nah that's not quite right either...
