why earthworm skin is of reddish brown in colour

Perhaps it is because of the supply of blood vessels to the skin and the brown colour might be due to mud. But I don't think there is any definite reason.

one reaon u can say blood vessel is there but brown colour u near about it but blood vessel is also not the reason try a little more

while swallowing mud the dead plant which was burried it was also swallowed by it n u know leaves contain chlorophyll in which porphyrin pigment(reddish brown in colour) is present which makes the reddish brown colour of its skin
