Since it doubles that relates to ln(2)

and it happened in 6 hours so the rate is:  ln(2)/6  if im not mistaken

Given that the formula for bacterial growth is continuous;

   A = P e^(rt)

All we have to do is fill in the missing parts

   A = 1000 e^(ln(2)t/6)
