I NEED HELP ON 8TH GRADE MATH... A moving van leaves a house traveling at an average rate of 40 mi/h. The family leaves the house 1/2 hour later following the same route in a car. They travel at an average rate of 60 mi/h. Write an expression for the time traveled by the car. Then solve.

Also, please explain how u got ur anser
mv=40t c=60t if they arrive at the same time then 60t=40t+20 this represents the 60 mph by the car and the 40mph by the van plus the 20 miles it weent before the car started.
so whats the rate, time, and distance travlled for both(moving van) and car
