Need to find the zeros for the Problem g(x)=5x(x^2-2X-1)

OpenStudy (cristal):

well set them both equal to zero 5x=0 so x=0 then do x^2-2x-1=0. For that you need the quadratic equation -b+/1sqrt(b^2 -4ac) all over 2a....or 2+/- sqrt(4-(4*1*-1) all over 2 when you solve then pull out a 2 and cancel you are left with x= 1+sqrt2 and 1-sqrt2
