if you were riding on a cart that is going at the speed of light and took a shot from your pistol, would the bullet go faster that the speed of light?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, the bullet will slow down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but would it go faster than the speed of light? even for a little bit?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nothing can go faster than the speed of light (except for maybe neutrino?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, its speed depends on the intensity with which it is being hit forward. For example, if you are in a car that is taveling 70miles/ hour and then you throw a rock out of the window . Do you think it will go forward with the same speed as the car? It depends upon how much force you apply to the rock
