OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is the colour blue not black.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because we have defined it to be like that .. if both black and blue is same then how will you distinguish be between the two ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does this means that on onother countyr they define blues as black.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so far from what I have read all colors are radiations, now somehow we got lucky and are able to view a spectrum of radiation as different colors and maybe to define each sensation, each color we have named them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wish there was a philosophy group somewhere.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why agd.....?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from what i know that everything in this worls has no coluour unless a light is present u there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need radiation energy that's, all radiation in the VIBGYOR spectrum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean to view colors you need radiation to be in VIBGYOR Spectrum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ROYGBIV IS a beam of light in't Ishaan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

visible light light !!!

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

violet indigo blue green yellow orange red

OpenStudy (anonymous):

imagine iron furnace, you don't need light there if you provide enough energy iron itself starts emitting radiation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ishaan what dou think wud happen if i were to remove your rodes in your eyes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rodes what is rodes? and please don't do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wud u able to c colour?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rode are partilcles in your eyes that allow u to c colour in the presence of light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

without them you wud be waht we call colour blind.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk about it sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hence i say we only c color in the presence of visible light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not in presence; don't think like that you can see colors in dark too you need energy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is y a red apple appears to be red becasue A red LIGHT IS REFLECTED IN YOUR EYES.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are some other phenomena too for the color you see but basically it's all radiation, you should study electromagnetic waves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

GO AND LOOK AT THE ELECTROMAGNECTIC SPECTRUM TABLE YOU WILL SEE VISIBLE LIGHT!!!!!.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Caps for shouting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no!

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

does a rainbow have all the colours in it even the ones we cant see?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea maybe @unkle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can only c rainbow if and only if the was rain and now that sun appears,@ the opposite side of were u c the rainbow.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the sun has what we call visible light and that were u c a spectrum of colours.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the world is energy itself, energy radiates and of the whole energy spectrum we are able to view a limited spectrum what you call visible light....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

guyz i was expecting an unswer of the sort:that a blue coulour ha sa slightley differnt wavelength and a black colour absorbs all the colours of the spectrum.

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

what wavelength is black ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when all the radiation that is visible to us is absorbed, then we have black

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u gyz.
