What are some similarities and differences on dogs and cats? I have to write basically an essay on cats and dogs.

They both have hair, four paws, teeth, two eyes, two ears, sharp nails on each paws "fingers", they have similar face shapes. Some differences: Cats are usually smaller, more flexible, and can jump higher. . I hope this is what you meant (: I can't really think of anymore right now :P

Cats are independant and can be left alone for a while without causing problems. Dogs need to be walked and supervised. Dogs tend to break stuff and cause problems when left alone.

Cats are pretty quiet except for a few meows. Dogs can bark and wake up a whole neighborhood. A good idea for you paper would be to interview pet owners. Ask them about their pets.
