1st coin: 1/2 chance 2nd coin: 1/2 chance 3rd coin: 1/2 chance 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8
\[\matrix{h&h&h&h&t&t&t&t\\h&h&t&t&t&t&h&t\\h&t&h&t&t&h&t&t}\] You can clearly see that the probability of getting 3 heads \[\frac{1}8\] is equal to the probability of getting 3 heads. You could also do a probability distribution for getting 1, 2, 3 heads for different trials
