Control group does not receive the independent variable. Experimental group does receive the independent variable. Constants are the conditions of the experiment that do not change. (for example, if you keep both groups in a room that is at a constant temperature of 70degrees, then the temp would be a constant) Trials are the several different times you conduct the same experiment in the exact same way to reach your conclusion.
