8x^2 - 6x - 27

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

This is using factoring by grouping 8x^2-6x-27 8x^2+12x-18x-27 (8x^2+12x)+(-18x-27) 4x(2x+3)+(-18x-27) 4x(2x+3)-9(2x+3) (4x-9)(2x+3) So 8x^2-6x-27 factors to (4x-9)(2x+3) In other words, 8x^2-6x-27=(4x-9)(2x+3)
