area of a trapezoid: A=h/2( b1 +b2). solve for h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area A is height h times the average of the bases b1 and b2. multiply both sides by 2 and you get 2A = h X (b1+b2). then divide both by (b1+b2) to get h = 2A/(b1+b2)
