What is x+6 --- > 2 ?? 4 I don't understand, can you guys show me step by step so I can do other prob. like this? Thanks I'll appreciate it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply by 4 on both sides x+6>8 Subtract 6 from both sides x>2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x+6)/4 > 2 Multiply both sides by 4: (x+6) > 8 Subtract 6 from both sides: x > 2

@ fiddlearound can you explain how agin. like when you multiply *4 how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You started with this: (x+6)/4 > 2 Now the goal is to remove everything that's around the x, coz we want to isolate it on it's own. |dw:1318559395529:dw|
