x+6>8
Subtract 6 from both sides
x>2

Multiply both sides by 4:

(x+6) > 8

Subtract 6 from both sides:

x > 2

You started with this:

(x+6)/4 > 2

Now the goal is to remove everything that's around the x, coz we want to isolate it on it's own.
