When you're confronted with a word problem, narrow down an equation, the variables you know, and the variables you want to know. Remember, your teacher would never solve you a problem which could not be solve, or a problem which you didn't have the intersect to solve.

I'm sorry - I've never come across the centre of maths throughout my years of schooling.
