The graph of y=sqrt 1-x^2 is translated right three units. Write the equation of the translated graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=\sqrt{1-(x-3)^{2}}\]

OpenStudy (chaise):

When you say translated you mean that it's shifted right three units, this means it has gone right in the positive x direction three units and has not changed in the y direction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know but I would assume after seeing what they typed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That works thanks a ton

OpenStudy (chaise):

I don't even know how to go about doing this - I know how to 'translate' objects, but not graphs. Sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that ok maybe someone else does
