let f(x)= 3x-1 find x^2 f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you do this with the x^2 in front?

OpenStudy (agreene):

I assume they are just wanting you to evaluate \[x^2*f(x)\] such that: f(x) = 3x-1 \[x^2(3x-1)\] So, you distribute... \[3x^3-x^2\]

that was it I thought it was going to be something different thanks
