Mr. Trundle used exactly 128 ceramic tiles to cover the floor of a shower. If each tile is a square with 6-inch sides, what is the area of the shower floor? 768sq ft 1536 sq ft 3072 sq ft 4608 sq ft

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a square is the product of two of its sides. Since these square tiles have 6-inch sides, each tile has an area of 36 sq inches. Since there are 128 tiles, we have 128 x 36, which is 4608 sq inches, and since there are 12 inches in a foot, we divide this number by 12 and get an answer of 384 sq ft.

Actually, 384 sq ft is not a choice. Sorry for not noticing this at first. 4608 is a choice, so I believe this is the correct answer, but I think the units on it are sq inches.
