Cloud computing is the concept of using a distributed network of computers to solve accomplish a given task. The particular network of computers may logically be represented as a single computer, but have the combined power and resources of their total physical number. For instance, a cloud computing network may be made up of 100 individual computers, but only act as one machine. This makes administration much easier. Another benefit of cloud computing is the ease of expansion. More computers may be added to the cloud environment without disrupting the system.
