what is the difference between 1st and 3rd person?
1st person is when you talk about yourself saying "i" and "me". 3rd person is when you talk about yourself using your name (such as how elmo does: "Elmo loves his goldfish, his crayon too! That's Elmo's World!" or "Elmo is thinking about the sky today.")
Singular Plural First Person : I We Second Person : You You Third Person : He/She/It They One uses FIRST PERSON to refer to the SPEAKER while talking to a LISTENER (who is called SECOND PERSON). eg. I will call you. (Here two persons are talking to each other and the speaker is telling the listener that he will give him a phone call. THIRD PERSON is used to refer to someone other than the Speaker (FIRST PERSON) and Listener (SECOND PERSON) when the speaker and listener are discussing about somebody else. e. He is going to America. (Here the SPEAKER is telling the LISTENER about someone else i.e. about a third person). Hope this clears things for you....☺
1 person is I or me. 3 is about yourself
