For the Southern Hemisphere: List the three wind bands This wind band blows from ________ to _________ (example: from east to west or from west to east) This wind band falls between _____oS and _____oS latitude. 1. Polar Easterlies 2. Westerlies 3. Trade Winds
the name of a wind gives its direction from which it blows
So it's technically the same thing?
Polar Easterlies 60 to 90 oS East to West Prevailing Westerlies 30 to 60 oS West to East The South East Trade Winds 0 to 30 oS (South) East to West
ignore the ( South)
This is what I'm using to find the answers. Shouldn't it be West to East for the Polar Easterlies in the Southern Hemisphere?
No the name says it all, Easterly, from East to West
