describe the pattern in the numbers 0.0625, 0.125, 0.25 and write the next two numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is in multiples of 5 in decimal form, I just don't know how to word it. 0.0625 is 5^4 in decimal form 0.125 is 5^3 0.25 is 5^2 So, I guess the next number would be 5.0 and then 10.0. Not too sure if this helps but it might point you in the right direction.

thankyou that was very helpful

Is I guess how you would explain it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would the next two numbers be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry the scientific notations were off by one. \[5^{4} X 10^{-4}... 5^{3} X 10^{-3}... 5^{2} X 10^{-2}\] These are for the first 3 that you were given. So the next two would be: \[5^{1} X 10^{-1} ... 5^{0} X 10^{0}\] You can figure out these numbers.
