In a sale, a clothes shop reduces its prices by 30% a shirt usually costs £31 How much is it in the sale?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

31 31 - ----- x 30 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You turn the percent into a decimal and multiply it by the original price to determine how much off a discount you will get, then subtract the discount from the original price to get the new price. £31 * (.30) = £9.3 £31 - £9.3 = £21.7
