rosanne!

OpenStudy (safari321):

are you going to help me bigtom0wns

OpenStudy (safari321):

the question is \[6\sqrt{5000}-\sqrt{288}+\sqrt{32}\]

OpenStudy (jamesj):

Well 5000 = 5 . 10^3 = 5 . 5^3 . 2^3 = 2^3 . 5^4 hence sqrt(5000) = sqrt( 5^4 . 2^3) = sqrt( 5^4 . 2^2) . sqrt(2) = 2 . 5^2 . sqrt(2) = 50 sqrt(2) Now simplify the other two expressions so you have some multiple of sqrt(2) and then this is easy.
