what is the mass and weight of a 10kg object on the moon where the force of gravity is 1/6-th that of the earth's?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass on Earth = 10kg Mass on Moon = 10kg Weight on Earth=100N Weight on Moon=100N divided by 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mass of object on earth =10kg as you have given. WEIGHT of object is the force . so, weight on earth=mass * acceleration =10*9.8 98NEWTON annd mass on moon will be 10kg as mass never changes but weight will be 98/6=16.33newton
