Solve the equation -9=r over 4 (fraction) A) r=36 B) r=13 C) r=9 over 4 (fraction) D) r=-36

OpenStudy (alfie):

Try to do that by yourself, just multiply both members for "4", one cancels out, the other one..?

I tried, the answer i got was C. I just want to see if it right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-9 = r \div 4\] so to move the 4 to the other side and get r by itself you would need to multiply both sides by 4. and \[-9\times4 = -36\]
