what might happen to your whole body if ribosomes in a pancreatic cell stopped working? also, what might cause a ribosome to stop working?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ribosomes are required to produce proteins, so the pancreas must produce a lot of protein. i'm not sure if it's due to insulin production specifically or not, the pancreas is a gland that produces a variety of protein-derived hormones... http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071001213433AAI2WC4 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancreas Have a read and see what might happen
