what is the x and y intercepts of 6x-7y=36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An easy trick is to remember AX+BY=C. In this case, A=6, B=-7 and C=36. Now, C/A is the x-intercept and C/B is the y-intercept. 36/6, 6, is the x-intercept and 36/-7 is the y-intercept.

For x intercept put the y-value in the equation 0 and solve for x. likewise for the y-intercept put the x-value in the equation 0 and solve for y. Its the answer. :)
