does anyone know how to do this problem: 3(m + 1.5) = 1.5(2m + 3)

OpenStudy (zrsmith):

First distribute each side ... this will get rid of the ( ), then solve for m

OpenStudy (zrsmith):

left side: 3(m+1.5) so multiply 3*m and 3*1.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okayy..

OpenStudy (zrsmith):

do the same process on the right side, 1.5*2m and 1.5*3

OpenStudy (zrsmith):

what did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3m+4.5=3m+4.5. m=m This equation works for all real numbers.
