Finding max/min....very simple one My stupid answers sheet has been wrong twice already -.- Can you help me see if my answer is right verses the sheet again?

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

y = x^2 +2x+3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no max because this is a parabola that opens up

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

I got min 2 when x = -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

minimum value is the second coordinate of the vertex.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are right

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw (you did it!)

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

minimum value is -b/2a so -2/2(1) so -1 and when you plug that back in you get 2, so that is the minimum.

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Thanks (: teachers made so many mistakes >.<
