You are choosing between two different cell phone plans. The first plan charges a rate of 24 cents per minute. The second plan charges a monthly fee of $49.95 plus 11 cents per minute. How many minutes would you have to use in a month in order for the second plan to be preferable?

You would have to use 385 min.

i think i need to use that in a y=mxtb form also can you tell me how you go it?:) thanks!

so your two lines would be: y=0.11x+49.95 y=0.24x+0 If you set them equal to each other it looks like: 49.95+0.11x=0.24x solve for x: 49.95=0.13x x= approximately 384.2 so I would round up to 385min.
