well I'm in sociology & i have to do a discussion board about :Explain why it is difficult to see character traits such as personality, morality, and intelligence as being partly socialized rather than totally genetic and inborn.
Because some people are really good in pretending their traits and personality, 'cause they want to impress certain people. Am I right?
Not only that, most of our actions tend to be as per what society as a whole finds acceptable i.e. they r dictated by society. So, everyone tires to "show" that they conform to the rules/rituals laid down by the society even though inside one may feel different. For example, in the western world an unwed mother is tolerated/accepted by the society and hence you have a very high number of unwed mothers. In countries like Pakistan etc. an unwed mother is a scandal and highly unacceptable as she brings shame to the family. Hence you find less number of unwed mothers......
