Because some people are really good in pretending their traits and personality, 'cause they want to impress certain people. Am I right?

Not only that, most of our actions tend to be as per what society as a whole finds acceptable i.e. they r dictated by society.   So, everyone tires to "show" that they conform to the rules/rituals laid down by the society even though inside one may feel different.

For example, in the western world an unwed mother is tolerated/accepted by the society and hence you have a very high number of unwed mothers.  In countries like Pakistan etc. an unwed mother is a scandal and highly unacceptable as she brings shame to the family. Hence you find less number of unwed mothers......
