cells can divide two produce more of themselves. they go through different stages like interphase, prophase, metaphase, anphase and telophase.But if you are talking about producing energy, yes they do produce energy for our body.

yes they produce by asexual reproduction and regeneration. like mitosis and meiosis.I n the mitosis they show the somatic cell division and the Meiosis is a special type of cell division necessary for sexual reproduction.

It's when one parent cell results into 2 daughter cells which is exactly the same as the parent cell (2n = 2n) With the reproductive cells/ germ cells, They undergo Meiosis which results into 4 daughter cells.
