does c++ have anything like a dictionary? i need to be able to call an index by giving a list or something similar a string representing the label of the object @ that index. any suggestions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

currently just using generic lists, but wow its inefficient. wanna upgrade!

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

Check out Map s.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is "Map s" ??????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont tnk c++ has dictionary but dictionary is a kind of data structure wher u can sotre the data in the form of dictionary language .

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

Map is a class. Plural would add an "s". Putting the s directly on the name of the class could make searching for documentation ambiguous, so I separated it.
