... I gave you an answer earlier. It's all a matter of perspective. It's analogous to shining a flashlight in your eye. The closer the flashlight comes to your eye, the brighter and I guess bigger the light appears to be.

But as I said before, I don't understand what's meant by the sun coming near earth.

When the Earth is closer to the sun (like during our summer months) it seems larger and closer because you are, that's why it gets more warm weather and such, and when we get into the fall/winter seasons the earth is getting farther away and it's harder for the sun to reach us
