what gives you a distance of 4 from 0?
x = 4 and -4 Absolute value means that if we plug in a negative number it becomes positive. Treat it as the "distance" to zero. Thus 4 and -4 would make this true.
the distance of 0 to 0 is 0 which is not 4 right?
