The position of a particle moving along the x-axis is given by x(t)=2t^3-21t^2+72t-53 at the time t(> or equal to)0. What time does the t particle rest?

x describes position, so you want to take the derivative which gives you velocity, then you equate that to zero since you want to know when the particle stops moving, solve for t and make sure you takethe positve answer for t since t>= 0
