Solve x^2+ 18 = –9x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 9x to both sides x^2+9x+18=0 then use the coefficients a=1, b=9 c=18 and use quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or you can simply factor (x+3)(x+6) x=-3,-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

quadratic will get the same answers as above but takes a little bit longer it's late and i didn't see the factors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok x^2+9x+18 = 0 (Move all terms to on side and arrange in order of powers) (x+6)(x+3)=0 (factor) set both equal to zero and get x = -6 or -3
