Average rate of change of this function means to find the points by finding the values for f(-1) and f(2), drawing a line between them and calculating the slope of that line. . When you find the slope of the line you drew, it will be the average rate of change between the points.
would it be 1? then would i plug it into the f(x) =x^2+3? im confused
