can you help me on like two more? lol and thank you for helping me on the last one, but i need someone to explain these other two to me that im stuck on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x is less than or equal or to 21. x is less than or equal to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3x \le21 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok you divide both sides by to get x on its own and you have it 3x/3 <= 21/3 x <= 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last one i need help on:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3s+6\le-5(s+2)\] solve for s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these are very like solving equations first expand the brackets on RHS: 3s + 6 <= -5s - 10 add 5s to each side 3s+5s + 6 <= -10 subtract 6 from each side 8s <= -16 divide both sides by 8 x <= -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the one difference from equation is when you divide by a negative for example -2x < 6 divide by -2 , you flip the inequality sign: x > -3 less than becomes greater then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you for your help! i really appreciate it :)

no probs - good luck
