its easy
-14x - 35y = 119 (multiply by 7) 14x - 6y = 4 add these functions: -41y = 123 y = -123/41 y = -3 Substitute y = -3 into one of the equations: 7x -3(-3) = 2 7x + 9 = 2 7x = -7 x = -1 so the answer is : (-1, -3) Please check my arithmatic. You can recheck by plug in x = -1, y = -1 into both equations and they should be true.
note that the 2nd equation I multiplied across by 2
