A 17.0 kg crate is being pulled along a smooth, horizontal surface. The pulling force is 65.5 N and is directed 36.0o above the horizontal. What is the accleration of the crate?

F=ma in your case the force is directed 36.0 degrees above the horizontal which means F=fsina+fcosb these are the components of the force. since the fsina is perpendicular to the crate it doesnt do any work so the force is fcos36 and that is 65.5xcos36=53N F=ma 53=17.a 53/17=3,1m/s^2 will be the answer
