determine the probability of drawing either a king or a diamond in a single draw from a pack of 52 playing cards.. determine the probability of drawing either a king or a diamond in a single draw from a pack of 52 playing cards.. @Mathematics

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

there are 4 kings in a deck, and 13 diamonds in a 52 card deck (one is the king of diamonds) Probability of drawing a king or diamond (inclusive) is 16/52 because there are 16 cards that have either characteristic. is you mean king 'or' diamond in an exclusive sense (ie not the king of diamonds which is both) then the probability is 15/52
